I have been tracking my weight since I have started back up this last time. This is my chart for my weight loss/total loss since February of this year. It started out being a normal "I want to loose weight", but has turned into a more determined, "I'm GOING to loose weight!".

There have been SO many struggles from the very first time that I tried loosing this weight back in September 2007 and I was successful in taking off 17 lbs back then, but was never really determined enough to know that I could actually get to my goal weight if I just really wanted to. After I had lost the 17 lbs, putting me at 152 I had went on to loose 10 more pounds, putting me at 142, which is my lowest yet, but gained those 10 plus back. I had accepted that around 155 was ok, but it wasn't! Finally after a 3 year battle of trying to get this weight off, I am more determined than ever to do it! From February to April, there were MANY bumps in our lives between my last semester of Pre-requisites for my Nursing Degree and finances and such, that I did struggle with and just cruised through it all including my weightloss.
Mid-April I decided that I had had enough and was not going to look back anymore. I FINALLY started loosing weight in good (still small, but good) amounts, which encouraged and motivated me even more! In Mid-May I FINALLY broke that barrier that I really had started accepting that could not be broken, and I broke the 150s! I have not been under 150 lbs in 2 1/2 years! I started noticing that my clothes were getting a lot looser and even caught myself having to pull them up some, so I busted out my Pre-Emily (and even some Pre-pregnancy) clothes to try on. To my surprise, many of them did! I feel like a new person! Finding out that some of my clothes that I had felt so confident in before do fit now, sooooo I was able to trade in some T-shirts and baggy pants for some more fitting clothes!! I was and am still SO excited!
Here I am now and hopefully I will be able to continue posting weekly thoughts, where I am in my weightloss, and maybe even a few pictures along the way!

My weightloss journey
I have decided to start blogging my weightloss journey. I am really starting to get serious about loosing the weight that I have tried to loose for so long. This will be for me to log my journey and be able to look back on it, to not only see the changes that were made physically, but mentally as well. Also to be an encourager on just how far I might have come to give the strength needed to continue on. Others will be able to see it and can post if they like, but do not have to. I am really excited to get this weightloss blog started and think that this will be exciting to look back on as I go and after the journey is finished!
I love watching The Biggest Loser and it inspires me everytime that I see the show and the contestants as they start finish their journeys. There are many things that have been learned from just watching the show, listening to the tips given, and doing some research of my own. I have changed my outlook on the things that I put into my body and the way I think of things in my life. I have also realized some situations that seemed to discourage me and have learned how to control them enough to make them the fuel of my exercising and mindset!
At the beginning I will try to catch up on what has been done so far, since I have been writing some things down in another journal, then after catching up, I should be blogging each Monday after I weigh in.
STARTING WEIGHT: 155 lbs
GOAL WEIGHT: 125-130 lbs
I started this journey 2 1/2 years ago at 169 lbs, got down to 157 lbs for a while, then down to 142 lbs. That has been the lightest that I have gotten to since before my middle little girl, Kayla, so that means it has been about 4 years. Slowly my mind went to other needed things and less on myself, but I am finally finding the balance between all the needs in my life, my weight is now one of my higher priorities! My weight has been fluctuating between 155 and 157 lbs and it has been 2 1/2 years since I have seen anything lower than 150 lbs, BUT my next blog will show that this statement has changed! I don't know if I am brave enough to post certain pictures, but we shall see!
